Diabetics at Applebee's

Diabetics must resist their temptations when dining at Applebee's. Most of the items on Applebee's menu is either stuffed with sodium or sugar. You must be extra careful and pick low-sugar and low-sodium diet at Applebee's if you are diabetic.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for Diabetics:

If you are starting your meal with appetizers then make sure you skip the Classic Buffalo sauce, Honey BBQ sauce, and sweet Asian Chile sauce on your wings order. It is highly recommended to skip the appetizers if you are dining alone and instead build your appetizer keeping nutrition in check. Among the steaks, you must stay away from the Applebee's Riblets platter as well as Bourbon Street Steak at all costs. Shrimp 'N Parmesan Sirloin is also not recommended. Skip the sandwiches, wraps, and tacos as well. Desserts may be tempting but it is recommended to avoid them at Applebee's for their high sugar content. High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. Avoid ordering foods that contain over 1000mg sodium at Applebee's, especially if you're dining alone.

High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Cholesterol

If you have high cholesterol, then you must avoid eating sandwiches, wraps, and tacos at Applebee's. While the salads and soups sound healthy, you must skip the Fiesta Chopped Salad and Loaded Potato Soup at Applebee's. It is also advised to dodge the Three Cheese Chicken Penne and Chicken Fajita Rollup. Any main meal with over 100mg cholesterol is not idle for someone with high cholesterol. So, skip those items at Applebee's.

As we're celebrating we are packed into a crowded bar space when the other dining room has plenty of room...their convenience seems to be more important than our celebration. They ran out of the spinach dip.. Ugh. It also seems odd that a simple strawberry lemonade was $4 when a Long Island ice tea was $2.99, and even Denny's has free refills on them. Step it up Applebee's.

I'm not a fan of Applebee's and haven't been in one in years, but sad to say, we ended up here as a default because every other place was packed to the gills and we were on a time constraint. I don't dislike it because it's a chain, I dislike the quality of the Sysco esque food. Our server was great. Very personable and outgoing. A little forgetful, but that's okay. We were seated at a high top. The place was so loud. Not because of the people, but all the tacky big screen TV's blaring whatever game that happened to be playing. Some of the others in our party remarked that the pasta was super bland and overly dry while others liked theirs. I ordered the French onion soup which was decent. J ordered the Tortilla soup which was okay. Their burgers looked decent. A lot of people in our party ordered the 2 for $ 20 with the appetizer and entrée. Not my first choice, but it was okay for what we needed at the time.

Will not be back again. Poor service. No urgency in service & it wasn't busy at the time of experience. Only saw our server upon arrival, delivering our waters and later, our food. Our drinks and apps delivered by another. Frozen drink sat at the bar for 5 minutes at least. Had to ask for silverware and 3rd server took care of our bill for us. We may not have seen our server, but we did see other servers complaining to each other and looking very unpleasant. It was definitely not an enjoyable environment.

DO NOT GO HERE. I went to Applebee's last night with my boyfriend and a few friends. Considering I live in the Dells and have been here before I had already knew that i didn't really enjoy it too much. But since my friends liked it, I decided to deal. Our waitress seemed friendly at first but we had to wait like 10 minutes for her to show up. We ordered drinks and those came out in like 5-10 minutes. Finally we put in our order and our waitress was quite rude. I had said to my boyfriend while someone else was ordering that I forgot to order our appetizer. So I waited for her to finish writing down his order to tell her. While she was writing she says to me "I'm listening." In a very rude tone. I decided to brush it off. So she put our orders in and we all finished our drinks in like 10 minutes. So we were waiting for her to come ask for refills but she never did. Eventually our apps came out (someone else brought them) and our waitress still hadn't shown up. About 30 minutes after we ordered. Then about 10 minutes later our food comes. Brought by someone different than the first two. My soup was cold of course. Our waitress finally came back and was being kinda nice. Brought refills. Then she didn't show up for about a half an hour. We ordered desserts. I ordered a hot fudge sundae shooter and one of my friends ordered a cheesecake shooter and my other friend ordered a strawberry milkshake. The shooters came out about 10 minutes later. Mine was chocolate mousse and not a hot fudge sundae. About 10 minutes after we got ours, the milkshake came out. The waitress asked how everything was and eyed up my dessert. I told her it was not what I asked for. She said rudely "I see that." I was so irritated by that comment I said "it's fine." She didn't even apologize or offer me a new one!!! It took forever for her to bring checks and boxes. I was so frustrated with the service I received that next time my friends ask me to go with, I'll choose to stay behind.

Absolutely Horrible!!!! Do not and I mean do not visit this restaurant!!! Me and my wife and son went while we were on a trip to the dells, we waited 20 minutes for a table, no big deal it was semi busy. Once we got seated it took 20 minutes just for a waitress to come to out table and acknowledge us. We knew what we wanted and ordered right away, our son is young and it was getting late so we ordered. 40 minutes later no food no waitress to check on us, until I see her sitting at the bar for more than 15 minutes chatting with a coworker!!!! No explanation on what is taking so long and no food!! We decided to leave and then the waitress argued with me about the fact the kitchen was busy!!! If we at least we're told.they were behind maybe we would have stayed, or at least if she wasn't sitting on her ass!!! Don't go Ever!!! There are plenty of better choices!!!

Menus were worn and dirty making me feel like I needed to wash my hands after touching them. Ordered an appetizer sampler that came with cold spinach dip, greasy chips and onion rings that looked as if they had been left in bad oil for too long. It was a revolting sight. Hot sandwiches were cold and not prepared as described on the menu. In the middle if the meal the music was turned up so that it became difficult to have a normal conversation. After a discussion with the manager, we agreed to pay only for our drinks. Upon leaving the staff at the door didn't even acknowledge us with a 'thanks' or 'goodbye'. This place a neighborhood trough for pigs looking for a sit-down meal.

This place is bad. My family and I walk in on a Saturday night at 7:30. The hostess tells us it will be a 15-20 min wait. So at 7:51 we get seated. Our server doesn't come over to our table for almost 10 min. When he does come we put our drink order, appetizer order and dinner order all at the same time. After about 10 min our drinks and appetizer came out. Then another 15 min our dinners came. The food and portion sizes where ok. Then it took another 10 min for our waiter to come over and take care of the bill. I will not be going back to this or any Applebee's anytime soon.

Just Ok. We went this weekend while visiting my dad...it's his favorite place. Our server was pleasent enough and kept our soda's refilled but the food was eh. I had the Thai Shrimp Salad and the shrimp were under cooked. I also had the french onion soup and they put Mozzarella cheese on it. Next time I will stick with a burger.

HORRIBLE. After a long day at the water park, the bf and I thought we'd grab a quick dinner at our favorite place - APPLEBEE'S. Service was horrible. The greeter was sitting on a stool and had no customer service skills whatsoever. All night, our waiter was impatient, rushed through everything and had no interest in us at all. I ordered half Asian Chile and Hot Buffalo wings but got the hot buffalo and BBQ. He put in another order. It sure did come out fresh but under one wing, there were small pieces of nacho chips and off to the side of the plate was a dark, burnt boneless wing. Oh and because there were no celery sticks that was brought out with our wings in the first place (come on now, we had a big container of ranch - what am I to do with that), when I asked, our waiter brought out like 10 big celery sticks (he was probably fed up with me). The Raspberry Iced Tea tasted weird - almost like diet or watered down. It was not busy that night and we had to constantly ask for refills. Go somewhere else. This place is a piece of crap.

Went at dinner time maybe 5pm had to wait for our server. Wanted to order ribs, sorry no ribs! Don't understand how they were out of ribs at 5pm! We ordered an appetizer didn't get it till 1minute before our main course! We battled 2 flys the whole time we were there. So we get our meal 3 of us ordered steak, I ordered medium well it was rare with blood oozing out. I sent it back they brought it back on the same bloody plate! The others ordered medium rare they got well done! Our waiter never came back to check on us. We had to go down to the bar to get our bill! At that point I asked to speak to the manager. He only charged us for our bar tab. Will never go back! We visited Applebee's on 8/04/15.

This is a good place to eat. I wish applebees would add a little more to their menu. Some of the menu items may be over priced for what you get though. I ordered a 9oz sirloin and what i received looked like a 7oz along with a pitiful amount of mixed veggies and mashed potatoes, and shrimp top. This pitiful amount of food was $17! Butttttt... the food was GOOD. Everything was made to my request. The girl who brought my hubby and i to the table was a little rude, She was going to sit us on a center table, but we had told her we preferred a booth and she rolled her eyes and looked around for. Minute. There was 4 clean empty booths and she kept looking around like an idiot. I dont think she really wanted us anywhere else but where she had first tried to sit us, but if so, then why ask if we would like a table or booth to begin with? The best part about my experience here was the awesome waitress we had. Mystique, is her name. She is SUPER friendly, efficient, and all natural for providing excellent customer service. She made suggestions, patiently waited on us, checked up on us, offered more refills etc. She should be working on a higher end. Tables were clean, bathrooms were a little messy, but i still managed. Will i come back here? Probably yes

Please don't go here. The waitress (Jennifer ) was rude stating "are you sure you want the house salad it's huge" and also stating that we should order apps because the food was going to take awhile since we couldn't decide on our meals at her convenience, seriously you should never say that to a customer. She also didn't bring silverware for 10 minutes after my salad was served (she told a table behind us they were out of silverware, we asked a manager and he came right out with them), she failed to get our order right and her excuse was that the speakers were to loud, and couldn't follow simple request like getting a To go box, I had to ask twice. Problems with refilling our drinks she kept forgetting. Food was poor, salmon was very dry, mash was way to chunky with several quarter size pieces of potato, and my steak was well done not medium. And after the comments made from the waitress with our order and the pissed off customers at the table next to us, we just wanted to leave! Ew! We'll never be back when we return to the dells. This was the only time we ate out while on our mini getaway and it was a huge disappointment. The place wasn't packed either.

The only reason this review is receiving one star is because zero is not an option. On our trip to the Dells we were looking for a place to grab a quick bite for lunch. My younger sister was getting impatient so we decided to stop at Applebee's. As many probably know, you typically can't go wrong with a chain restaurant such as Applebee's. However, this restaurant was absolutely disgusting. We arrived on a Wednesday at about 1pm. The restaurant was mostly empty. In the hour or so that we were there, we saw our waitress only three or four times. We had to ask numerous times for refills on our drinks that we never received. The food was absolutely awful. It honestly tasted like leftovers from the previous day. We could not ask that our food be returned because once our waitress dropped it off, she never came back to check on us! The worst part of it all was the fact that there were flies everywhere! This would be expected from an outdoor restaurant, but we were completely indoors with no open doors or windows near us. I would say there was at least about 10 flies all around our table and our food. We could not get out of there fast enough!
